Salary: £14.25 per hour

Hours: Full‑time, Days Start Date: ASAP

Service Type: Residential Care - Mental Health Conditions

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker (Female) to join a residential care service supporting adults with mental health conditions. This is a full‑time, day‑shift position within a warm, supportive home environment where you will play a key role in ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care.

You will support the management team, lead shifts, mentor junior staff and contribute to creating a safe, empowering and therapeutic setting for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff during shifts

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred care

• Support residents with daily living, emotional wellbeing and independence

• Administer medication (if trained) and maintain accurate records

• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and service policies are followed

• Work collaboratively with the wider care team and external professionals

• Promote a positive, respectful and supportive environment

Requirements

• Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement)

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to update)

• Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions

• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills

• Ability to work full‑time day shifts

• Able to start as soon as possible

• Compassionate, reliable and confident in a senior role
