Eden House is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join their team. This is afull time role.
  • Salary - £25,615.00 per Year
  • 37.5 hours per week. Must be flexible - day shifts only
  • Min 2 years experience required
Eden House, part of Priory, is an affordable, 18-bed residential service in Mill Hill, North London. It is home to Flourish - our pioneering therapy-led addiction programme - offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Eden House provides a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK.

Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It's ideal for people who don't need a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others. While a formal qualification is not required, you should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team leadership and management with Priory.
  • Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development
  • Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership
  • Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds
  • Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
  • Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
  • Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
  • Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
  • Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
What you'll bring to the role

Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience in a similar setting
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
  • Empathy, understanding and patience
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
  • The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
  • Competent in verbal and written English
  • A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
