What You Will Do:

  • Build meaningful, relationship-based practice with children, young people, and families.

  • Manage a complex caseload, exercising professional autonomy and sound decision-making.

  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and technical support to colleagues, social workers, managers, and partner professionals.

  • Use, model, and support others in applying a range of assessment and intervention frameworks.

  • Lead and coordinate multi-agency safeguarding plans for children and families.

  • Prepare high-quality reports for statutory interventions and act as an expert witness in Care or Private Law proceedings if required.

  • Contribute to panel processes, team meetings, and wider service planning.

  • Act as a practice educator or mentor for students, apprentices, and newly qualified social workers.

  • Take part in reflective practice sessions and support service development activities.

Salary range

  • £39.04 per hour
