Senior Residential Children's Support Worker
Location: Bradford
Pay: £15.65 per hour plus bonuses
Sleep-ins: £50 per sleep-in
Shift pattern: 2 on, 4 off
Setting: 3-bed EBD home
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a high-quality residential children's home in Bradford that provides specialist care and support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to step up, or an established Senior Support Worker looking to join a supportive and progressive provider.
About the Role
As a Senior Residential Children's Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and structured environment where young people can thrive. You will act as a role model within the team, leading by example and supporting colleagues in delivering relationship-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a happy, positive and stable home environment
- Make a demonstrable difference to the lives of children and young people
- Model relationship-based caregiving in all interactions
- Build secure, trusting relationships that help young people feel safe and valued
- Maintain accurate and timely records
- Attend and contribute to reviews, meetings and multi-agency conferences
- Support and guide junior team members
Requirements
- Previous experience working in residential childcare
- Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (essential)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ambition, resilience and a genuine desire to see young people succeed
- Confidence and ability to act as a positive role model
