What You Will Do:

Lead and quality assure comprehensive pre-birth risk assessments, ensuring compliance with statutory and local safeguarding guidance.

Provide expert advice and supervision to social workers handling complex unborn child protection cases.

Develop outcome-focused intervention plans, supporting families in creating safe and nurturing environments.

Chair and coordinate multi-agency meetings, promoting effective collaboration among healthcare and social care partners.

Prepare and present high-quality reports and evidence for court proceedings and planning meetings.

Mentor and support practitioners and students, championing best practice and professional growth.

Contribute to service improvement projects, enhancing pre-birth pathways and safeguarding practices across Durham County Council.
