Chase Medical have an exciting vacancy for a Responsible Individual to join a highly respected client of ours who provides residential care services for children and young people in the Derby area. They have a well-established team and offer fantastic areas of growth and opportunity.
As the Responsible Individual and Operations Manager, you will hold a dual role encompassing leadership in regulatory compliance and operational management. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of children and young people residing in their residential care settings, while also managing the efficient operations of their services in Derby, initially across two homes.

Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in previous roles as a Registered Manager, Senior Manager or Operations Manager capacity.
Must have experience in - Level 5 Leadership & Management for Health and Social Care as well as a driving licence.
The role:
- Ensure organisational compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks, including the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Data Protection legislation, Health and Safety legislation, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all residential children's services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and child-centred care.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of robust quality assurance, audit, and performance monitoring systems to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure leadership capacity, workforce capability, and operational infrastructures are aligned to deliver consistent, high-quality residential care.
- Maintain continuous organisational readiness for regulatory inspection and lead effective responses to inspection outcomes, recommendations, and compliance requirements.
- Provide Directors with timely oversight reports, assurance updates, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making and governance.
- Champion and embed equality, diversity, and inclusion across organisational culture, leadership, and service delivery.
- Strengthen and maintain effective partnerships with commissioners, regulatory authorities, and multi-agency stakeholders to support positive outcomes for children and young people.

Salary range
- £70,000 - £80,000 per year
