What you will do

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the daily operations of the Children in Care residential unit, creating a safe and supportive environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Ofsted regulations and children's homes standards.
  • Care Planning: Deliver high-quality care planning aligned with the Children Act 1989.
  • Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of residential care staff, promoting high standards of practice.
  • Safeguarding: Prioritise safeguarding and embed robust child protection practices.
  • Risk Management: Oversee placement planning, risk assessments, and effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Multi‑Agency Working: Collaborate with social workers, education providers, health professionals, and external partners.
  • Resource Management: Manage budgets efficiently while optimising staffing and resources.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records to meet regulatory requirements.
