What you will do
- Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the daily operations of the Children in Care residential unit, creating a safe and supportive environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Ofsted regulations and children's homes standards.
- Care Planning: Deliver high-quality care planning aligned with the Children Act 1989.
- Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of residential care staff, promoting high standards of practice.
- Safeguarding: Prioritise safeguarding and embed robust child protection practices.
- Risk Management: Oversee placement planning, risk assessments, and effective behaviour management strategies.
- Multi‑Agency Working: Collaborate with social workers, education providers, health professionals, and external partners.
- Resource Management: Manage budgets efficiently while optimising staffing and resources.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records to meet regulatory requirements.
