Job Title: Rehabilitation / Support Worker

Location: Barnsley
Salary: £12.60 - £14.60 per hour (dependent on experience and NVQ level)

Role Overview

We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and professional Rehabilitation / Support Workers to join our Outstanding-rated residential home in Barnsley. The role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents, assisting with rehabilitation, daily living activities, and promoting independence.

You will be part of a dedicated, supportive team delivering person-centred care, aligned with CQC standards and best practice in social care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support

• Support residents with rehabilitation programmes, daily activities, and goal achievement

• Promote independence and wellbeing, encouraging participation in activities and social engagement

• Assist with medication administration and ensure accurate records are maintained

• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and infection control

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals

• Follow care plans and risk assessments to ensure resident safety

• Uphold the home's values, contributing to a positive, caring environment

Essential Requirements

• Experience in residential care, rehabilitation, or related health/social care setting

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)

• Ability to promote independence and recovery-focused support

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in rehabilitation, occupational therapy support, or mental health care

• NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care

• First Aid, Moving & Handling, and Medication training
