Registered Manager - Residential Child Care (EBD)
Location: Halifax
Salary: £57,000 per annum (+ bounuses)
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday) 9-5
We are recruiting on behalf of a growing children's residential provider with over 20 homes across the UK. The organisation is committed to creating sensitive, child-focused environments where young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to lead an established 4-bed EBD home in Halifax. The home achieved a very positive outcome in its most recent Ofsted inspection and continues to deliver high standards of care.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring it provides a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment where children can achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the residential home in line with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations
- Create a warm, homely, and therapeutic environment tailored to each child's individual needs
- Ensure high-quality care planning and positive behaviour support strategies are in place
- Drive positive outcomes in education, health, and emotional wellbeing
- Oversee safeguarding, safer recruitment, and compliance processes
- Manage and develop the staff team through supervision, coaching, and appraisals
- Ensure staffing rotas effectively meet the needs of the children
- Maintain clear communication systems, including handovers and accurate care documentation
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
- Develop and implement continuous service improvement plans
- Build strong working relationships with external professionals, schools, and families
What's on Offer
- Salary of £57,000 per annum

- £5,000 upon Ofsted registration
- £6,000 bonus linked to Ofsted inspection outcomes
- Two annual bonuses of £5,000

Essential Criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete)
- Willingness to register with Ofsted
- Minimum of two years' experience within children's residential care in the past five years
- Minimum of one year's leadership or supervisory experience within a care setting
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of safer recruitment
- Experience managing Ofsted compliance and inspections
- Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office packages
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Full UK driving licence
