Registered Manager - Dementia Residential Care Home (Hitchin)

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm + on‑call every other weekend

Service: 20+ bedded Residential Dementia Home

Are you an experienced and passionate Registered Manager looking for your next leadership opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated, forward‑thinking Manager to lead a well‑established 20+ bedded residential home specialising in dementia care, located in the heart of Hitchin.

About the Role

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, quality, and operational performance of the home. You will ensure the delivery of safe, person‑centred care while maintaining full compliance with CQC standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who is committed to driving high standards and creating a warm, supportive environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the home

• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards

• Provide strong leadership, coaching and support to the staff team

• Oversee care planning, risk management and safeguarding processes

• Build positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals

• Manage budgets, staffing levels and resources effectively

• Drive continuous improvement and maintain a culture of excellence

• Participate in the on‑call rota every other weekend

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a residential or dementia care setting

• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance

• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills

• Passion for delivering high‑quality, person‑centred dementia care

• Ability to motivate and develop staff teams

• Confident in managing budgets, audits and service improvement plans
