Locum Recovery Worker, specialising in recovery services, is needed in Tamworth and Stafford, UK, offering an attractive rate of £21 per hour. This full-time position initially spans 3 months, with a promising view to extend further. What you will do:

- Provide vital harm reduction advice and support with a focus on safer drug use, safer sex, HIV, Hepatitis A, B, and C, and other blood-borne infections.
- Maintain a full caseload of clients as the key worker, ensuring each client's needs are met.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, collaborate on care packages with multi-disciplinary colleagues, review care plans, and manage onward referrals effectively.
- Assist and support nurse prescribers during prescribing clinics, ensuring smooth operational flow.
- Deliver a range of structured psycho-social interventions, incorporating techniques such as CBT, solution-focused therapy, and motivational enhancement.
- Create and facilitate group work interventions, promoting community and shared learning.
- Operate a needle exchange service, contributing to community health and safety.
- Demonstrate a commitment to service user involvement, ensuring voices are heard and acted upon.
- Collaborate with a range of professionals to meet service users' needs concerning safeguarding and mental health.
- Encourage service users to progress in their recovery, assisting them in moving away from maintenance treatment as appropriate.
