Salary: Up to 35,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and values-driven Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our residential service in Melton Mowbray, supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism who may display behaviours that challenge.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in embedding PBS across the service, improving quality-of-life outcomes, and supporting teams to deliver proactive, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and review Positive Behaviour Support plans based on functional assessment
  • Carry out behavioural observations and analyse data to inform best practice
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, families, support staff and external professionals
  • Coach, train and mentor staff teams in PBS principles and strategies
  • Promote least-restrictive practices and support the reduction of restrictive interventions
  • Contribute to risk assessments, incident reviews and continuous service improvement
  • Ensure practice aligns with PBS values, NICE guidance and regulatory standards
About You You will be passionate about PBS and committed to ethical, person-centred support.

Essential:
  • Relevant qualification or substantial experience in PBS, psychology, behaviour analysis or a related field
  • Experience working within residential or supported living services
  • Strong understanding of functional assessment and PBS planning
  • Excellent communication, coaching and report-writing skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and values-led practice
Desirable:
  • BILD-accredited PBS qualification or equivalent
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Experience delivering staff training and workshops

Salary range
