Make a Real Difference - Every Day

Are you passionate about transforming lives through person-centred, evidence-based support? Do you believe in empowering individuals with complex needs to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives?

We're seeking an experienced and values-driven Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join a forward-thinking, supportive organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and behaviours that may challenge.

This is more than a job - it's an opportunity to create lasting change.

What You'll Do:

In this dynamic, field-based role, you'll be a driving force in delivering high-quality Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) across supported living services in Essex. You will:

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments to understand the "why" behind behaviours.
  • Design and implement tailored Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs).
  • Champion the reduction of restrictive practices in line with RRN guidelines.
  • Mentor and coach frontline staff to deliver person-centred, confident support.
  • Provide engaging, impactful training on PBS, Active Support, and related topics.
  • Collaborate with families, clinicians, and external professionals to promote consistent, inclusive care.
  • Lead team meetings, contribute to service planning, and ensure the highest standards of practice.

Who You Are:

You're a compassionate, committed professional who thrives on helping others reach their potential. You bring:

  • Strong experience in PBS, education, psychology, or health & social care.
  • A recognised MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis or Positive Behaviour Support.
  • UK-SBA or BCBA accreditation (essential).
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
  • A deep respect for dignity, inclusion, and autonomy.

Why this role?

  • Flexible Working - Full-time, permanent contracts designed to support your work-life balance.
  • Continuous Learning - Ongoing access to high-quality training and professional development.
  • Career Growth - Clear pathways to progress within a growing, values-led organisation.
  • Supportive Culture - Join a team that celebrates compassion, innovation, and shared success.
  • 24/7 Wellbeing Support - Through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), we've got your back.

If you're ready to use your skills to make a tangible difference in people's lives - while growing your own career - we'd love to hear from you.
