What you will do:
- Provide engaging and assertive outreach to individuals facing rough sleeping, begging, and street-based challenges, building trust and rapport.
- Use your knowledge of substance misuse, alcohol misuse, and mental health to support individuals and guide them towards appropriate services.
- Operate independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering case management with strong communication and advocacy skills.
- Flexibly work during evenings, weekends, and adverse weather conditions to ensure support is always available.
- Develop and implement personalised action plans for each individual to promote positive life changes and encourage consistent service engagement.
Key Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with rough sleepers, beggars, and street-based populations.
- A solid grasp of issues related to substance misuse, alcohol misuse, and mental health.
- Proven ability to conduct assertive outreach with those reluctant to engage with services.
- Experience working with individuals who have multiple and complex needs.
- Confidence in working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional communication, advocacy, and case management capabilities.
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours including evenings, weekends, and during inclement weather conditions.
