Responsible Individual - Children's Residential Home
Location: Tottenham, North London (with future expansion to Romford, Essex)
Salary: Approximately £70,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Homes: Initially 1 children's home, with planned expansion

Howard Finley Care is delighted to be working in partnership with an established children's residential care provider to recruit an experienced Responsible Individual for their children's home based in Tottenham, North London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing Responsible Individual to join a growing organisation at an exciting stage of development. Initially, you will oversee one children's home in Tottenham, with plans underway to register an additional home.

You will provide strategic leadership, ensure full Ofsted compliance, and support the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care with proven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Responsible Individual in line with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations
• Provide effective oversight and governance of the children's home
• Support, guide, and challenge the Registered Manager to ensure excellent standards of care
• Ensure safeguarding, compliance, and quality assurance processes are robust and embedded
• Lead on service development in preparation for future expansion
• Maintain strong relationships with Ofsted and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Currently working as a Responsible Individual - essential
• Proven experience overseeing and managing children's residential homes with positive Ofsted outcomes - essential
• Relevant residential childcare qualifications (including Level 5 or equivalent) - essential
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and quality standards - essential
• Ability to travel between services as the organisation expands - essential
