Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home (Birmingham)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum + up to £30,000 in bonuses (OTE £100,000)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Home: Brand new 6-bedded, purpose-built service

We are delighted to be recruiting for a highly experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand new, 6-bedded residential children's home in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in launching and shaping a high-quality service designed to support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), learning disabilities (LD), or a combination of both.

The home was previously used as an adult Learning Disability care home and so the property has been fully adapted to support complex care needs and offers an excellent foundation for delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the opening, registration, and ongoing development of a brand-new residential service.
  • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding frameworks, and company policies.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing staff team focused on therapeutic, child-centred care.
  • Drive positive outcomes for young people with complex needs, ensuring high standards of care, education, and emotional support.
  • Implement robust quality assurance systems and maintain excellent regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care - essential
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare - essential
  • Proven evidence of achieving positive outcomes and maintaining high standards in previous services - essential
  • Experience managing EBD and/or LD services, including complex needs - essential
  • Ability to lead from the front and establish a strong culture within a new service - essential
  • Experience as a dual-registered manager is highly desirable

Package & Benefits:

  • £65,000 - £70,000 starting salary
  • Bonus structure up to £30,000 per year
  • Realistic earning potential of £100,000
