About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching within the Nursery setting, supporting pupils as they develop essential early learning skills. You will create a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment where children feel confident and excited to learn.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Nursery lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

  • Supporting children’s development across communication, literacy, numeracy, and personal development

  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Observing and assessing pupil progress and maintaining accurate records

  • Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development

  • Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff

  • Building positive relationships with parents and carers

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and Early Years provision

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching within Early Years or Nursery settings

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum

  • Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic

  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be organised and committed to maintaining high standards

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
