Nursery Practitioner – Level 3

£29,000–£34,000 per year | Full Time | All Year Round | Good Ofsted

Set within a beautifully refurbished house, this Good Ofsted-rated nursery offers light, airy and spacious rooms filled with engaging opportunities for children to explore. The setting has retained a warm and welcoming feel while creating vibrant Early Years environments that encourage children to make choices, develop new skills and become increasingly independent.

Outside, a large garden with age-specific areas and a playhouse gives children even more freedom to investigate, be active and learn through play. Alongside this, the nursery places a strong focus on school readiness, helping children develop the confidence, communication and independence they’ll need as they move towards their next stage.

What We’re Looking For

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development
• Confidence supporting children's independence and school readiness
• A creative approach to planning engaging, age-appropriate experiences
• A warm, nurturing and child-centred approach
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Strong communication skills with children, families and colleagues
• A genuine enthusiasm for helping children learn through play and exploration

Helping Children Get Ready for What Comes Next

• Provide high-quality care and Early Years education throughout the nursery day
• Create engaging experiences around children's individual interests and developmental needs
• Support children to develop confidence, communication and independence
• Encourage skills that contribute naturally towards school readiness
• Plan and deliver experiences in line with the EYFS
• Observe children's development and use this to plan meaningful next steps
• Make full use of the nursery's spacious rooms and extensive garden
• Encourage outdoor learning, exploration and physical development
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and build upon the nursery's Good Ofsted standards
