Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner

Salary: £29,670

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

You will be working at a brand-new, purpose-built nursery school around five minutes from Romford Town Centre, providing high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The setting offers calm, carefully considered spaces, natural materials and dedicated outdoor provision, with individualised learning and purposeful play at the heart of the approach. As part of the nursery team, you will support children’s development through everyday experiences, meaningful interactions and a curriculum informed by EYFS principles, while building positive relationships with children and their families.

What You’ll Need

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Experience working with children across different age groups within an Early Years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework would be advantageous
• Understanding of children’s individual development and the importance of responsive, nurturing care
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and their families
• A clear commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing and maintaining high standards of care

What You’ll Do

• Plan and deliver purposeful activities that support children’s learning and development
• Observe children’s progress and use everyday experiences to identify learning opportunities
• Provide attentive personal care while supporting children’s growing independence
• Apply the nursery’s curriculum and pedagogy principles consistently in practice
• Build strong relationships with children and families through meaningful daily interactions
• Support learning through routines such as mealtimes, transitions and outdoor play
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued and encouraged to explore
