Nursery Practitioner – Level 3

£31,200 per year | 40 Hours per Week

Our client has created a welcoming home-from-home environment, combining nurturing care with thoughtfully planned experiences that encourage children to become confident and independent learners.

Indoors, children can choose from a variety of experiences and resources designed to spark their curiosity and creativity. Outside, dedicated garden areas for different age groups give children the freedom to take their learning further, experiment with new ideas and express themselves through open-ended play.

We're looking for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner who enjoys giving children the space to make choices while being there to guide, encourage and extend their learning.

What We're Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Confidence creating experiences that encourage independence and child-led learning.
• Ability to observe children's interests and use these to extend their development.
• A creative approach to using different environments, materials and resources.
• A warm, positive and collaborative approach to Early Years practice.

Giving Children Choices in Their Learning

• Provide warm, responsive and high-quality care throughout the nursery day.
• Plan engaging experiences in line with the EYFS and children's individual development.
• Create opportunities for children to make independent choices within their play.
• Observe children's interests and recognise opportunities to extend their learning.
• Encourage creativity, imagination and self-expression through varied resources.
• Make full use of the nursery's age-specific garden areas to take learning outdoors.
• Support children's confidence, independence and emotional development.
• Build positive relationships with children and strong partnerships with their families.
• Support children's personal care and individual routines.
• Maintain inviting indoor and outdoor learning environments.
• Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team.
• Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, welfare and health and safety.
