Nursery Practitioner – Level 3

Up to £31,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week

This warm boutique nursery has created a genuine home-from-home environment, combining cosy, welcoming spaces with a strong emphasis on outdoor experiences. The nursery has its own garden and dedicated outdoor learning space, while daily Forest School sessions give children the opportunity to explore nature, take appropriate risks, solve problems and build confidence through real-world experiences.

Learning follows the EYFS curriculum, with children's individual interests helping to shape activities and experiences throughout the day. As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you'll support children to learn at their own pace, encouraging curiosity and independence while providing the nurturing relationships that help them feel safe and secure.

What We're Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and Forest School experiences.
• Confidence planning activities around children's interests and individual stages of development.
• A warm, nurturing and child-centred approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Your Role

• Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Support children to develop their confidence, independence and curiosity through play.
• Take an active role in daily Forest School and outdoor learning sessions.
• Encourage children to explore nature and learn through hands-on experiences.
• Act as a Key Person, developing secure relationships with children and maintaining positive communication with families.
• Observe and assess children's development and use their interests to plan meaningful next steps.
• Help maintain the nursery's warm, welcoming home-from-home atmosphere.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent care and learning.
• Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, health and safety.
