Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)

£30,000–£34,500 per year | Full Time | All Year Round | Permanent

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, the nursery combines a fun and energetic approach to learning with a warm home-from-home feel. Its enriching curriculum brings together learning, play and creativity, giving children the freedom to develop their confidence and independence while being supported by an experienced early years team.

A dedicated Forest School programme adds even more variety to the children's week, providing opportunities to spend time outdoors, explore nature, take on new challenges and develop practical skills through hands-on experiences.

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you'll have the freedom to bring your own ideas and creativity into the room while building meaningful relationships with children and helping them make the most of every stage of their development.

What We're Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or within a similar early years role.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Enthusiasm for creative, play-based and outdoor learning.
• Confidence planning activities around children's individual interests and developmental needs.
• A warm, energetic and positive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

What You'll Be Doing as a Nursery Practitioner

• Create fun and engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
• Encourage children to explore their interests through play, creativity and hands-on activities.
• Support children's individual learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
• Get involved with outdoor learning and the nursery's Forest School programme.
• Observe and assess children's development, adapting activities to their individual needs.
• Build strong relationships with children and their families.
• Work closely with colleagues to create a positive and enjoyable nursery environment.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety throughout the setting.
