Nursery Practitioner (Level 2)

The nursery follows a child-led approach, giving practitioners the freedom to build activities around children's individual interests rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. You'll be joining an experienced team that works together to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can develop at their own pace.

This is a great opportunity for a Level 2 Nursery Practitioner looking to build their experience within a supportive setting that offers plenty of opportunities for continued training and development.

What We're Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• A child-centred approach with an interest in play-based learning.
• Confidence building positive relationships with children and families.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A caring, enthusiastic and reliable approach.

What You'll Be Doing as a Nursery Practitioner

• Support children's care, learning and development in line with the EYFS.
• Follow children's individual interests to create engaging and meaningful activities.
• Encourage confidence, independence and curiosity through play.
• Make use of the nursery's indoor and outdoor environments to provide varied learning experiences.
• Support children's daily routines and individual care needs.
• Observe children's development and contribute to their learning records.
• Build warm and trusting relationships with children and their families.
• Work closely with experienced colleagues and the wider nursery team.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety throughout the setting.
