Job Description

Nursery Practitioner (Level 3 Qualified)

£13.30 per hour | 37.5 Hours per Week | Permanent

This independent, family-run nursery is looking for a passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join its welcoming team. With thoughtfully designed indoor learning spaces tailored to each age group and an impressive outdoor environment, the nursery provides children with endless opportunities to learn through play.

Outside, children can escape to cosy corners with a favourite story, build dens with friends, invent imaginative worlds, or tackle exciting construction projects in dedicated building areas. Every space has been carefully created to inspire exploration, creativity, and confidence while ensuring children feel safe, happy, and supported throughout their early years journey.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you'll play an important role in bringing these experiences to life, creating engaging activities, nurturing children's development, and helping every child achieve the very best start in life.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner within an early years setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child development.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning through play.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable approach to early years education.

What You'll Receive

  • £13.30 per hour
  • 37.5-hour permanent contract
  • Competitive annual leave
  • Heavily discounted childcare
  • Wellbeing programme
  • Refreshments provided
  • On-site parking
  • Regular team events
  • Opportunity to work within a friendly, independent family-run nursery where every team member is valued

Your Role

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan engaging, play-based experiences that support children's individual learning and development.
  • Encourage children's confidence, creativity, and independence through both indoor and outdoor learning.
  • Make full use of the nursery's exciting environments, including cosy reading spaces, den-building areas, and creative outdoor play zones.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can flourish.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
