Job Description

Nursery Practitioner – Level 2 or 3

£28,500–£30,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week | Full Time

This well-established nursery cares for children from 3 months to 5 years, offering a warm, inclusive home-from-home environment where children can feel secure enough to explore, play and develop at their own pace. Cosy indoor rooms are complemented by a beautiful, secure outdoor play area, giving children plenty of opportunities to take their learning outside.

You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team that values play-based learning and individual development, creating meaningful experiences around the children rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

What We’re Looking For

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience within a nursery or Early Years setting
  • Good understanding of the EYFS and child development
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
  • Confidence planning engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
  • A nurturing and attentive approach to children's individual needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine enthusiasm for helping young children learn and develop

What You’ll Receive

  • £28,500–£30,000 per year
  • Generous annual leave allowance
  • Discounted childcare
  • Company pension scheme
  • Ongoing training and career development
  • Team-building events
  • Supportive and established nursery team

Your Role

  • Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children
  • Plan and deliver engaging experiences in line with the EYFS
  • Support children's learning through play, exploration and everyday experiences
  • Observe and assess children's development and identify appropriate next steps
  • Encourage confidence, independence and positive relationships
  • Make use of both indoor and outdoor environments to extend learning
  • Build trusted relationships with parents and carers
  • Maintain accurate development records
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain consistently high standards of care

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
