Job Description

Nursery Practitioner – Level 2 or 3

Up to £28,000 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week

Children learn best when they're free to explore, ask questions, get messy, and discover the world around them and you'll be right there to encourage every exciting moment.

Our client is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join their Good Ofsted-rated nursery. This is an opportunity to inspire young minds, celebrate every milestone, and create meaningful experiences that help children grow in confidence from the very start of their learning journey.

The nursery combines bright, well-equipped learning spaces with an exceptional outdoor environment designed specifically for young children. Outdoor learning is a key part of each day, with practitioners using both the indoor and outdoor spaces to deliver engaging activities across every area of the EYFS curriculum. Whether children are exploring nature, developing physical skills, or using their imagination through play, every day brings new opportunities for learning and discovery.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A warm, caring, and child-centred approach to childcare

Why Should You Consider This Role

  • Up to £28,000 per annum
  • 40 hours per week
  • Opportunity to work in a Good Ofsted-rated nursery
  • Outstanding indoor and outdoor learning environments
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Supportive leadership team
  • Excellent career progression opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
  • Plan and participate in engaging, play-based learning activities
  • Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, and independence through indoor and outdoor experiences
  • Observe, assess, and support children's individual learning journeys
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Promote children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development
  • Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery standards at all times

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
