Job Description

Nursery Manager

Up to £45,000 per year

This is an opportunity to make your mark on a nursery, whether you’re an established Nursery Manager or an experienced Deputy ready to take that next step.

Set within a fantastic purpose-built facility, the nursery provides bright, spacious environments specifically designed for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. Each room leads directly to outdoor space, allowing children to move naturally between indoor and outdoor experiences and making fresh air, physical activity and exploration an everyday part of nursery life.

We’re looking for a confident Early Years Manager to take responsibility for the setting, bringing together strong practice, supportive team leadership and the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.

What We’re Looking For

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Previous Nursery Manager experience or strong Deputy Nursery Manager experience with the readiness to step up
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
  • Proven experience leading, motivating and developing an Early Years team
  • Confidence overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy nursery
  • Experience managing staffing, ratios and compliance
  • Strong organisational and decision-making skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • A hands-on leadership style and commitment to delivering high-quality Early Years care

What You’ll Receive

  • Salary up to £45,000
  • Full-time hours
  • On-site parking
  • Subsidised meals
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Pension scheme
  • Uniform provided

Leading the Nursery

  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the setting
  • Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team
  • Maintain consistently high standards of care and education across all age groups
  • Ensure the EYFS is embedded effectively throughout the nursery
  • Oversee safeguarding, compliance, staffing, ratios, health and safety
  • Support practitioners to make full use of the nursery’s indoor and outdoor environments
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards across the setting
  • Build strong relationships with parents and families
  • Support staff development through coaching, supervision and training
  • Create a positive culture where both children and practitioners can thrive

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
