Our client, a Good Ofsted-rated, purpose-built nursery, is looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to take responsibility for the continued success of the setting.

The nursery has a wonderfully warm and homely atmosphere. Bright, well-resourced rooms provide stimulating spaces for children to learn and play, with free-flow access to the garden throughout the day.

Outside, children have plenty to discover. From a woodland area and large sandpit to a vegetable patch, the garden provides endless opportunities for imaginative play, physical development, nature-based learning and hands-on exploration.

We're looking for an established Nursery Manager who can balance quality, people and operational leadership, while keeping children's experiences at the centre of every decision.

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager is essential.
  • Strong track record of successfully leading an Early Years setting.
  • Excellent understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience recruiting, leading, motivating and developing nursery teams.
  • Confidence managing staff performance and supporting professional development.
  • Ability to monitor quality and implement effective improvement plans.
  • Good understanding of the operational requirements of running a successful nursery.

What You'll Receive

  • £45,000 per year
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Heavily discounted childcare
  • Additional day off for your birthday
  • Pension scheme
  • Benefits and discounts portal
  • Wellbeing programme
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Opportunity to lead an established Good Ofsted-rated nursery

More Than Managing the Day-to-Day

  • Take overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day management of the nursery.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the Early Years team.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of care and education across all rooms.
  • Ensure the EYFS is delivered effectively and children's individual needs remain central to practice.
  • Maintain strong safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor quality through observations, audits and regular reviews of nursery practice.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain strong preparation for future Ofsted inspections.
  • Encourage teams to make full use of the nursery's free-flow garden and outdoor learning environments.
  • Recruit, induct and develop colleagues, creating a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Build trusted relationships with children, parents and families.
  • Oversee staffing, occupancy and the wider operational performance of the nursery.
  • Ensure the setting retains its warm, welcoming and home-from-home culture while continuing to develop.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
