Nursery Manager

Up to £45,000 per year | Level 3 | Full Time | All Year Round

This vibrant nursery is looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a passionate team and continue developing a setting where children receive exceptional care from their very first days as babies through to their transition into school.

The nursery takes a truly age-appropriate approach to early years education, with care, activities and learning experiences carefully adapted to each stage of children's development. As children progress through the nursery, they're encouraged to become increasingly confident, independent and curious, supported by practitioners who understand their individual needs.

As Nursery Manager, you'll be responsible for bringing all of this together – creating a positive culture, developing your team, maintaining excellent standards and ensuring children and families receive a consistently high-quality experience.

What We're Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Previous experience as a Nursery Manager is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Proven experience leading, motivating and developing nursery teams.
• Confidence managing the operational requirements of a busy early years setting.
• Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of care, education and customer experience.

Your Role

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful operation of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team, creating a positive and high-performing culture.
• Maintain consistently high standards of care and education across all age groups.
• Ensure the nursery remains fully compliant with EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
• Monitor the quality of practice and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support practitioners to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the wider nursery community.
• Oversee staffing, performance and the effective deployment of the nursery team.
• Work closely with senior leadership to support the nursery's continued success and development.
• Champion a culture where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn.
