What You Will Do

  • Provide effective leadership, management, and supervision to social workers and social care assessors across the peripatetic team.

  • Oversee casework, ensuring strengths-based assessments and personalised support planning in line with the Care Act 2014.

  • Manage staff performance, monitor workloads, oversee annual leave and sickness, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead safeguarding responses, ensuring timely and compliant action in line with legislation and Trafford's local policies.

  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary partners to deliver coordinated and high-quality support to adults with varied care needs.

  • Uphold and promote the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, advocating for residents' independence, autonomy, and rights.

About You

  • You are a qualified Social Worker with active registration with Social Work England.

  • You bring strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • You are confident working autonomously and collaboratively within a busy operational environment.

Salary range

  • £40 per hour
