What you will do:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to schools and organisations around child protection procedures and policies.
  • Lead and manage investigations into allegations against professionals and volunteers working with children.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure safeguarding measures are in place and being effectively followed.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records, ensuring compliance with legislative and procedural requirements.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to ensure all staff are up-to-date with current safeguarding practices.

Requirements of the Local Authority Designated Officer:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
  • Maintain current registration with Social Work England.
  • Possess significant frontline experience working in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
