Live-in Complex Care Support Worker (Spinal Injury – C5/C6)£200–£250 per day | 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off | Double-Up Package (Self employed)

We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Live-in Complex Care Support Worker to support a female client with a C5/C6 spinal cord injury (paralysed from the shoulders down).

This is a double-up live-in care package, meaning you will always work alongside another carer, ensuring safe, high-quality support at all times.

💰 Pay & Package

• £200–£250 per day (depending on experience)
• Equivalent to £2,800–£3,500 per 2-week rotation
• Accommodation and meals included during placement
• Structured 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rota

🩺 Key Responsibilities

• Full personal care including bowel management (suppositories, digital stimulation, manual evacuation)
• Support with showering, hygiene, and pressure area care
• Awareness and response to Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD)
• Medication administration in line with care plans
• Safe moving & handling (hoist transfers, repositioning)
• Meal preparation tailored to dietary needs
• Emotional support and companionship
• Light housekeeping duties
• Driving the client to appointments and social activities where required

✅ Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience in complex care / spinal injury / high-dependency care
• Confident with bowel care routines
• Understanding of Autonomic Dysreflexia
• Knowledge of infection control and medication procedures
• Strong teamwork skills (working in a 2:1 care model)
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

• Healthcare background (HCA, nursing, or similar)
• First Aid certification
• Previous live-in care experience
