Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and passionate live in Support Workers that have experience and understanding of autism. The role is for a Senior support worker working in a private placement supporting a 23 year old young man who has a diagnosis of Autism and has limited language. This is primarily based in his own 2 bedroom annexe within the grounds of the main house.

Client has mixed sleep patterns so you will required to stay awake and assist if client does not sleep, but you will be able to sleep if client is sleeping. This means the full time position will not be suitable as a second to a day job.

There are some lone working shifts and some shifts are 2-1, teaming up with other team members. We already have an awesome team you would be joining who are very lovely and supportive and you will be part of the family unit.

Full training with client provided and extensive shadowing sessions with established support workers before any solo shifts.

We also offer additional training if desired as we are keen to help with career development in this field, such as Positive Behaviour Support training, UK-SBA accreditation or NVQ's in health and social care.

Candidates will need to be fit and healthy

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be helping with all aspects of the clients life - personal care, encouraging independence and supporting client during the night time shifts if awake. Day time shifts include attending activities and supporting client in all aspects of his day to day life.

Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience of working with kids/adults with autism is required

Full driving license is required

PBS experience is desired
