What you will do:

  • Chair meetings, leading cared for children's reviews and CP conferences, ensuring that all discussions are thorough and constructive.
  • Monitor performance, overseeing the Local Authority's role as corporate parent and ensuring all plans are appropriate and implemented accordingly.
  • Enforce actions, advocating for necessary actions to meet a child's needs, endorsing care plans and ensuring the child's perspective is considered.
  • Report issues, escalating any failures in process or practice to senior management and ensuring issues are resolved expediently.
  • Promote best practices, contributing to service improvement by identifying and promoting examples of good practice.
  • Collaborate with partners, working with various stakeholders to ensure the coordination and delivery of user-centred services.
  • Lead service developments, taking charge in authority-wide initiatives to improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • Manage information systems, ensuring proper use of information systems to facilitate accurate reporting and record-keeping.
