Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and nurse‑qualified Home Manager to lead a well‑established 45+ bed nursing home in Rotherham. The home is rated Good in all areas by CQC and provides high‑quality nursing, dementia nursing and dementia residential care.

The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader with strong clinical expertise, excellent regulatory knowledge and a passion for delivering outstanding person‑centred care.




Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Management

  • Provide strong, visible leadership to nursing and care teams

  • Ensure safe, effective and compassionate care delivery

  • Maintain a positive, supportive and high‑performance culture

  • Oversee recruitment, staffing levels, rotas and workforce development



Clinical & Regulatory Compliance

  • Act as the clinical lead within the home

  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and internal governance

  • Lead safeguarding, incident management and risk assessments

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care plans



Operational & Financial Oversight

  • Manage budgets, occupancy and resource allocation

  • Drive continuous improvement and service development

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families and external professionals



Quality & Standards

  • Maintain and enhance the home's Good CQC rating

  • Implement quality assurance systems and audits

  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect and person‑centred care




Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) - ESSENTIAL

  • Experience as a Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a nursing home

  • Strong understanding of dementia care and complex needs

  • Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations

  • Confident leader with strong communication and organisational skills

  • Passionate about delivering high‑quality care
