We're working with a highly supportive nursery school in Southwark that is looking to appoint a Premises Officer for a September start. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Working mornings only, you'll become an important part of the school community, ensuring everything is in place before children, families, and staff arrive each day.

The Role

As Premises Officer, you'll take responsibility for preparing the school each morning and helping to maintain a safe, secure, and well-presented learning environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Opening the school and carrying out morning site checks

  • Completing basic maintenance and DIY tasks

  • Ensuring the site is safe, tidy, and secure

  • Carrying out routine health and safety inspections

  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly

  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the premises

To be considered, you must have previous experience working within a school environment in a premises, caretaker, or facilities role.

Contract & Hours

Location: Southwark

Contract: Ongoing temporary

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 11:30am (20 hours per week)
