Role purpose
As Deputy Team Manager, you will support the Team Manager in leading and developing the Children in Care Team, ensuring consistently high standards of practice and positive outcomes for children and young people looked after by the States of Guernsey. You will provide operational leadership, professional supervision, and case oversight while promoting excellent social work practice.
What you will do

Support the Team Manager with the day-to-day operational management of the Children in Care Team.

Provide reflective supervision, guidance, and professional support to social workers, including NQSWs.

Lead on case oversight, quality assurance, and performance management, ensuring statutory timescales are met.
