Deputy Nursery Manager

£36,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week

Set within a modern building, this nursery offers bright, spacious rooms thoughtfully designed around the needs of different age groups. The environments encourage creativity, imagination and development, while the outdoor play area gives children plenty of opportunities to be active, explore and enjoy time outside.

We’re looking for an experienced Early Years professional to step into a key Deputy Nursery Manager role, combining hands-on leadership with the day-to-day running of the setting.

What We’re Looking For

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
• Previous senior Early Years experience – essential
• Experience as a Deputy Manager, Room Leader, Third in Charge or similar would be ideal
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
• Confidence leading, motivating and supporting a nursery team
• Experience maintaining high standards of care, learning and compliance
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A positive, hands-on leadership style
• A passion for creating environments that encourage creativity, independence and development

Your Role

• Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership of the nursery
• Lead, support and develop practitioners across the setting
• Help ensure consistently high standards of care and Early Years education
• Support the effective delivery of the EYFS across different age groups
• Oversee staff deployment, ratios and daily routines
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, compliance, health and safety
• Support practitioners with observations, planning and professional development
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Provide confident leadership in the Nursery Manager’s absence
