  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding, child protection and regulatory requirements.
  • Confidence leading, motivating and supporting an Early Years team.
  • Experience maintaining high standards of nursery practice and compliance.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • A genuine commitment to creating positive experiences for both children and practitioners.

What You'll Receive

  • Up to £35,900 per year
  • 40 hours per week
  • Discounted childcare
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Your birthday off
  • Pension scheme
  • Wellbeing programme
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Clear opportunities for career progression
  • A supportive, collaborative working environment

Supporting the Nursery From Every Angle

  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the nursery.
  • Step confidently into the Nursery Manager's responsibilities when required.
  • Lead, mentor and support practitioners to deliver consistently high-quality care and education.
  • Maintain strong standards across the EYFS, safeguarding and nursery compliance.
  • Spend time within rooms, providing practical guidance and support to the team.
  • Help create engaging, child-centred learning environments across the nursery.
  • Support staff deployment to maintain appropriate ratios and effective use of the team.
  • Support staff development and encourage practitioners to progress within their careers.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen practice and contribute to the nursery's continuous improvement.
  • Work alongside the Nursery Manager to maintain and build upon the setting's Good Ofsted standards.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
