Deputy Nursery Manager

Up to £33,000 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week

Our client is looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their Good Ofsted-rated nursery. Set within a charming converted property, this small, homely setting offers a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn every day.

With well-equipped playrooms, inviting garden areas, and smaller group sizes, the nursery provides children with the individual care and attention they need to flourish.

Working alongside the Nursery Manager, you'll help lead a dedicated team, maintain outstanding standards of care and education, and ensure every child receives the very best start in life.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge, or an experienced Room Leader ready to step into a deputy role
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Passion for delivering outstanding early years education

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery
  • Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive
  • Support practitioners through coaching, mentoring, and professional development
  • Monitor children's progress and promote high-quality learning experiences across the nursery
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and EYFS standards are consistently maintained
  • Deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence
