Description
Priory Bishops Gate is a residential service, located in St. Leonards-On-Sea, East Sussex. We provide support to males and females between the ages of 18 and 65, who are on the autistic spectrum who may also be presenting complex needs.

We aim to help residents create and achieve personal goals, in order to lead a fulfilled and enriched life.


What you'll be doing
Are you passionate about improving lives and inspiring others to deliver outstanding care? We're looking for a compassionate, motivated Deputy Home Manager to join our supportive and dedicated team.

Working closely with the Home Manager, you'll help ensure our home remains a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. You'll lead by example-supporting senior colleagues, mentoring new team members, and helping to maintain the highest standards of care at all times.

You'll be confident in making decisions when needed, while also valuing collaboration and teamwork. Ideally, you'll have previous experience as a Deputy Manager and a genuine commitment to developing both yourself and those around you.

A caring nature, professional approach, and strong work ethic are essential, along with reliability and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced care leader who's ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and rewarding environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Supporting the Home Manager to make sure our home runs smoothly and always meets regulatory standards (CQC/RQIA).
  • Leading, guiding, and inspiring the senior care team to provide outstanding, person-centred support.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Holding regular staff meetings, keeping communication open and positive.
  • Helping new staff settle in with thorough inductions, ongoing training, and plenty of encouragement.
  • Overseeing risk assessments and safety checks to make sure our home is safe and compliant.
  • Playing a key role in quality checks and audits, always looking for ways we can improve.
  • Working alongside regional managers to develop and introduce new ideas and services.
  • Ensuring our staff feel valued, supported, and motivated to do their very best.
  • This role is 8 hours supernumerary and 32 hours on the floor.

  • You've worked as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager and are ready for the next step.
  • You're a natural leader - approachable, supportive, and great at bringing out the best in others.
  • You're passionate about high-quality care and know how important it is to residents and their families.
