About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Support Worker to join our Complex Care team, supporting a gentleman with a spinal injury in his family home. Your role will be to ensure he lives a fulfilled life while his complex health needs are well managed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care tailored to the client's needs
  • Support with hoisting/manual handling and bowel management
  • Promote independence and well-being
  • Drive the client's wheelchair-accessible vehicle when required
Client Preferences
  • Physically active
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries
  • Ideally experienced in working with deaf clients (sign language advantageous)
Shift Pattern
  • Ad hoc 24-hour shifts to cover sickness and annual leave
  • Includes a sleeping night shift
Pay & Benefits
  • £320 per 24-hour shift
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a caring role
  • Experience with spinal injury and hoisting
  • Experience with deaf individuals preferred
  • Driver essential
  • Enhanced DBS check and three years' continuous referencing
