Physio & Rehabilitation Support Worker

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a client who lives in the lovely village of Hoo. Our client is a gentleman in his early sixties who has sustained a spinal injury that affects his mobility. We're looking for a patient, motivated, and compassionate individual to support our client with their physio and rehabilitation needs. If you have experience in care and an understanding of physiotherapy or rehab-formal or informal-this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role

You'll work closely with our client to help them achieve their therapeutic goals, attend appointments, and engage in daily activities that support their ongoing progress. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who enjoys encouraging, motivating, and empowering others.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:
  • Physically and mentally strong, with the ability to motivate and support our client
  • Previous care experience
  • Patient, understanding, and able to build positive rapport
  • A driver, to support the client with appointments and activities
Desirable Experience:
  • Complex care knowledge or experience
  • Background in physiotherapy or rehabilitation-or currently working toward it
  • Experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries

Responsibilities
  • To provide complex care interventions such as Spinal Injury Care and Bowel Evacuations.
  • To confidently and clearly communicate with the client and using aids where necessary.
  • To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.

Requirements
  • Physically and mentally strong, with the ability to motivate and support our client
  • Previous care experience with a minimum of 6 months of UK-based care experience.
  • Patient, understanding, and able to build positive rapport
  • A driver with a valid UK driving Licence and access to a vehicle, to support the client with appointments and activities
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.
