Healthcare Support Worker - Woking

Do you have the energy to keep up with a lively little one? Superior Healthcare is looking for Healthcare Support Workers to support a fun-loving 3-year-old boy in Byfleet. He's full of life, always on the go, and loves Paw Patrol, his Tonie Box, and story time with The Gruffalo. About the Client

This little boy lives in his family home. He has hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy from a birth injury and requires PEG/JEJ feeding due to oral aversion. He's very active and needs constant supervision and stimulation-so you'll never be bored!

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Keeping him safe and supervised at all times (he has little awareness of risk)
  • Engaging him in fun, stimulating activities
  • Supporting his health needs with compassion and confidence
What We're Looking For
  • Someone physically active and alert-you'll need to keep up!
  • At least 6 months' experience in a care role
  • Ideally, experience with children and some understanding of autism.
  • Must be over 25, with a clean driving licence, as you'll drive the client's vehicle
Shifts & Pay
  • Night shifts 7pm-7am
  • Day shifts 7am-7pm
  • from £14.30 per hour for a day shift and £15.40 for a night shift with increased pay rates for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities
  • To show the client dignity and respect at all times.
  • To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.
  • To be an advocate for the client, working in their best interest and in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.
  • To be fun, friendly and engaging with the client around their interests and hobbies.
  • To closely observe and monitor the client and keep thorough documentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months care experience
  • Experience supporting paediatric clients
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
  • Driving license with own car
