Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with complex needs?

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Care Assistant with experience supporting children with complex needs to join our caring and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centred care to help our client feel safe, valued, and supported in reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, person-centred care for our client with complex needs. You will be supporting our client within their own home.

Support a client with overnight duties and responsibilities including personal care, feeding, mobility, and medication (where required)

Assist with activities and learning opportunities that promote development and independence

Monitor our client's wellbeing and respond appropriately to health or behavioural needs

Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams

Maintain accurate records and follow care plans at all times

Essential Requirements

Experience supporting children with complex needs, disabilities, or additional support requirements

A caring, patient, and empathetic approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings or weekends if required

Desirable

Qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare, or similar field

Experience with conditions such as autism, physical disabilities, epilepsy, or sensory needs

Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and person-centred care
