Job Title: Care Assistant (Days or Nights)
Location: Southampton
Hours: 36 hours per week (7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am)
Shift Pattern: Rolling rota including alternating weekends
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team in Southampton. This role is available for either day or night shifts, working 12-hour shifts (7-7) on a rota basis, including alternating weekends.

You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and supported at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Support residents with mobility and safe transfers

• Assist with meals and hydration

• Promote dignity, independence, and choice

• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and report concerns appropriately

• Maintain accurate care records and documentation

• Support social activities and engagement (day shifts)

• Provide reassurance and maintain a calm environment (night shifts)

• Carry out light housekeeping duties as required

About You

• Kind, caring, and patient nature

• Reliable and committed to high standards of care

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential (training provided)

• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts including alternating weekends

• Right to work in the UK
