Care Team Leader
Location: West Byfleet Hours: Full‑time, 38.5 hours Shift Pattern: 3 nights one week / 4 nights the next Pay Rate: £14.00 - £14.50 per hour Qualification Required: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Night Team Leader to join our well‑established Residential & Nursing Care Home in West Byfleet. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and compassionate leader with strong experience in dementia care, nursing care, and senior care assistant/team leader responsibilities.
You will lead the night team to ensure the highest standards of person‑centred care, safety and wellbeing for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the night care team to deliver safe, high‑quality care
Oversee medication administration in line with policies and regulations
Support residents with dementia, nursing needs and complex care requirements
Ensure accurate record‑keeping, care plans and handovers
Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately
Promote dignity, choice and independence for all residents
Maintain a calm, supportive and professional environment throughout the night
Work collaboratively with day staff, nurses and management teams
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader
Strong background in dementia care and residential/nursing care settings
Confident in medication administration and leading a team
Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work 38.5 hours on a rolling 3‑night / 4‑night rota
