Healthcare Assistants Needed - Shoeburyness

Support a lady in her own home • Tracheostomy care • 12-hour day & night shifts

We are currently looking for caring and reliable Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Shoeburyness, supporting a lovely lady in her own home. This is a 2:1 care package, offering consistency and the chance to build a strong rapport.

About the role

You'll be working as part of our complex care team, providing high-quality support that enables our client to feel safe, comfortable and independent at home.
  • Day shifts: 8am - 8pm
  • Night shifts: 8pm - 8am

What we're looking for
  • Previous care experience, including personal care
  • Experience with tracheostomy care is essential
  • A minimum of 2 shifts per week
  • Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
  • You must be currently based in the UK (we're unable to offer sponsorship)

Responsibilities
  • To closely observe and monitor the client for clinical intervention.
  • To be friendly, engaging and hold a great conversation with the client around their interests.
  • To assist the client with moving and handling, including the use of equipment such as hoists.
  • To show the client dignity and respect when providing personal care to the client.
  • To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.
Requirements
  • 6 months professional care experience in the UK based in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience working with complex care clients.
  • Someone who is flexible and able to offer availability with short notice including weekend shifts.
