What you will do:

  • Provide treatment to a caseload of complex cases within the team, ensuring comprehensive patient care

  • Ensure efficient systems and protocols are in place and align with local policy guidelines

  • Facilitate effective assessment, diagnosis, care planning, prescribing, and review of children and young people referred to the specialist CAMHS service

  • Generate prescriptions using appropriate formularies and monitor their effectiveness, safety, and continued appropriateness

  • Coordinate medication management clinics, including physical health checks and monitoring, and supervise staff within these clinics

  • Report adverse drug reactions through the appropriate channels

  • Provide accurate and timely performance data on service activity as needed

  • Liaise regularly with other agencies to ensure effective communication and maintain a quality service

  • Contribute actively to the programme of quality assurance and take a leadership role in the absence of the Lead Prescriber

  • Assist the Team Manager in maintaining up-to-date team performance statistics to achieve Performance Indicator targets

  • Support multi-professional teamwork, encouraging high professional standards

  • Supervise and appraise team staff members
