What you will do:

  • Caseload Management: Manage complex cases involving children under Child Protection Plans and care proceedings

  • Court Work: Lead on court processes including PLO work, preparing statements and evidence

  • Assessments: Undertake statutory assessments in line with the Children Act 1989

  • Mentorship: Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to less experienced staff

This Advanced Practitioner position requires a Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) and evidence of advanced post-qualifying training and professional development. You must be registered with Social Work England and have a strong knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Public Law Outline (PLO), and Working Together to Safeguard Children. Enhanced DBS clearance is required to ensure the safety and security of those in your care.
